Dear Sir, Madam

May I apologise for an introduction by way of email. The International Monetary Fund is sending a recruiting mission to Tokyo at the start of next week and while we have been advertising and using a search firm we are hoping you are able to circulate this information to your membership as another method of contacting people. We welcome applications from the Japanese Economic Policy Association members or those they recommend who are PhD macro economists.

International Monetary Fund - Recruitment Mission Tokyo October 21st - 23rd 2009

The announcement at the G20 meeting in Pittsburgh acknowledges the shift in global economic power towards Asia. With these changes there is hope that we may raise the level of representation of Japanese citizens among our Staff to align with Japan's economic status. The Fund seeks applications from Japanese citizens who are PhD educated macro economists.

To achieve this the Fund is sending a recruitment mission to Tokyo October 21st - 23rd. If you are interested in meeting with the interviewing panel in Tokyo please send your resume direct to tvacher@imf.org by Friday October 16th.

　The 8th JEPA International Conferenceは、
“The Financial Crisis and Economic Depression:
Tasks of Economic Policies in Simultaneous Slowdown of the World Economy”
というテーマの下、2009年11月28日(土)、29日(日)の両日、国立大学財務経営センター(東京・竹橋)にて開催されます。 既に、各国より多数の参加申し込みが来ております。 日本経済政策学会は、研究・教育の国際化に鑑み、会員諸兄姉が、諸外国の多くの研究者並びに学会と緊密な交流関係を築かれることを強く希望しております。 そこで、今回、その一助として、日本経済政策学会会員の国際会議への参加を積極的に促進するため、会員を対象に、以下のような、特別応募受付を決定いたしました。
